Was out in Lake in the Hills and Pingree Grove all day.

Fun fact, when you exceed 130 MPH in a C6 the air bag light stays on until the next key cycle.

Maybe an 05-07 thing? Both my 08s have not done it. Had the blue car to 145 and the white car has been 180

Might be, there's some dispute on Corvette forum if it's the system or a connection.

All I know is everytime I exceed 130, I get the light.

So the C6 is unfortunately known to get stuck in park.

Essentially, there are 2 microswitches which provide the data for the park release solenoid to release the parking pawl on the shifter.

These micoswitches fail, leaving you stranded. The workarounds have been to cut the parking pawl off (bad idea) or drill a small hole in the pawl and use thread/wire attached to a ring acting as a pull string to release the pawl.

Finally in 2023 an independent company has created an aftermarket harness that corrects the issue.

Mines on the the way, so today I did all the prep/teardown.

Averaged 27.5 MPG and was a blast to drive the 1700+ miles.

It sure isn't the fastest car around....

But it runs 10.9s on Costco gas, knocked down 27.5 MPG on a 1700 mile road trip, is comfortable, has all the creature comforts and basically does everything well.

For me, this is the perfect car.
