Hopefully it's ok to post this here.

Bought a 2002 bobcat 773. It's pretty mechanically solid as far as I can tell, but not real great to look at.

Its got about every option that was available back then. Heat, A/C, enclosed ROPS, keyless start, hand and foot controls, hi-flow, turbo engine, power bob-tach.

My dad talked me into letting him paint the cab, which eventually turned into me attempting to paint the whole thing. We started sanding it during a slow time between jobs, then everything got super busy. (Btw, these are factory powdered coated and sanding does almost nothing to them.) I realized I won't have time to paint it anymore, so I put an ad on Facebook looking for someone to paint it. Had a few hits, and eventually ended up taking it to a guy that usually paints cars. It took him about a week and a half to complete it. He charged me $1300 labor and I brought him the paint. I took all the windows out and the lights before I brought it to him. Just picked it up a few hours ago. I'm pretty happy with what he did.

Now, time to replace a few parts on it and install new decals.

Uuugggghhh I'm so jealous.... Within 3 years I really want to get into one of this or even a Kubota/kioti.... I've got way too much land to not have this type of equipment.

I hope the draw tube in fuel tank has already been done!

I hope so too!

I needed something for this year, but I'll probably sell it in a year to get one on tracks. I'll sell it to you. ;)

They're really not that bad to work on IMO, just flip the cab up for everything lol. LMK if you have any questions, I know these machines pretty well.

Check your axle bearings/ lube. That is one job that sucks on these is doing inner/outer axle bearings.

You're half the size of all of us. Course it's easy for you to get in there

I was hoping you would chime in. I'm sure I'll have quite a few questions on this as I go along.

I’ve ran wiring harnesses, replaced throttle cables, replaced fuel lines and anything else you can think of. I’m not familiar with this particular machine but some of them are hard as fuck just to get the oil filter off lol.
I love them as equipment though and don’t think it’s a bad buy at all.

And I was 255 going into the winter lol.

They're not bad because I have the patience to just open them up. Case XT machines are the best for servicing since the engine is mounted longitudinally. Bobcats are a PITA for some jobs, but for a lot of the basics they're not too bad.
