As the title states... I want to be a little different and was wondering what TCG thought of if I turned the speedline rims black and put a red lip on them...

The car...

The rim powder coated black (replace chrome lip w/ red lip)

Pic of similar final look... (its at least the closest I could find to a final look lol)

If it was a thin red line like how that second picture is, then Id say go for it. But not with it as wide as that chrome area is.

I like those aftermarket rims. Not so much on the factory wheels. I would leave them factory. They look cheesy black imo

I wouldn't say it's played out, considering the vast majority of vehicles that you don't see with them. If you do it, stick with the thin red line.

If you want to test it on your car first, plastidip one wheel black, and then get some red pinstripe tape to do the lip. Mount it, and see what you think. Easily reversible, and will cost you less than $10 and less than an hour of your time.

Do it, but only if you lower your car. I think it would goofy with the stance the car has now.

That's next on the to-do list lol

I thought about that...

Well those rims don't come wider then 8" iirc
It be nice if they made a 17x9 rim like the speedlines
