Also hearing he had prior violent felonies on his record, so guessing he shouldn’t have had a firearm to begin with.

Comments section on FB already has people calling for assault weapon bans when this guy had a pistol. Probably try to ban lasers from this. Communications officer saying the suspect was “neutralized” and the coroner is on scene now.

Court records show that Martin was convicted of stabbing a woman in Mississippi in 1994.

In 2000, records show, he was cited in Aurora for illegally altering the speakers in his car and for “squealing or screeching tires.”

His landlord sued him in 2002, and a Kane County judge entered an order of possession against him.

It’s unclear why Martin might have been let go. Officials with the Atlanta-based Mueller Water Products, which owns Henry Pratt, could not be reached for comment.

Some old city ordinance. I’ve been meaning to look that up. I believe it specifies “rifles” with certain features. Mine are outside city limits but using that wording AR pistols would be good to go.

Thought the shooter was a disgruntled, middle age white guy with a MAGA hat and a pocket copy of the US Constitution.

Instead it’s a POS felon who illegally obtained a gun in a state with tough gun laws.

Somehow Pritzker is going to turn this event into another gun law.

this place is less than 2 miles from my house. i drive by it often, there is a bar down the street that i like going to.

crazy to think this could happen especially because im sure that business is a "gun free zone".
