Im told disabling the DRL on a 2002 is different than say... my old 2000 (just pull it out)

Can anyone shed some light how to successfully disable DRL on a 2002?

whoa thats nifty... iknow on 01s if you pull that DRL thing... nothing happens as far as DRLs go... maybe that could work on my car... but it looks sorta sketchy.

Interesting! I heard that on the 01 and up's if you do that, the lights start flashing and will start chiming. That's what I read on CGP at least, obviously it's not true for every car

From Clubgp:

For 01 and up you have to remove the plug from the drl heatsink, but the lights will still light up at dusk due to the twilight sentinel.... to eliminate this, you have to put a resistor and switch in line with one of the wires of the twilight sentinel to be able to switch it off.
When the twilight sentinel is off, then no lights will turn on at any time of the day, and you will have to manually turn them on.

i just turn the lights to "off" whenever I turn my truck on. No way to disable DRLs without spending money on an aftermarket harness. Turning a knob is free.

I wish mine worked that way. Couldn't turn the DRL's off.
