Not sure how this is supposed to be done.. but in October 2010 I moved out to the San Francisco Bay Area. At the time I had a 2008 BMW M6, which was an OK car.. Being that I had a 60 mile daily commute and terrific weather all year round, I decided I wanted a convertible ASAP.
I narrowed the search down to a used 911 Turbo 'vert or a new Corvette vert. GM was throwing silly discounts for the new GrandSports ($12K off sticker), that coupled with fantastic highway MPG and a warranty, I pulled the trigger on the vette.
Predictably, within a few hundred miles of driving the vette, I got the mod bug. I quickly added added a bunch of small mods, then added new rims/tires, and finally the E-Froce supercharger, all within about 3K miles.
Within the first 18 months of ownership, I managed to pile up 30K trouble free miles. In November of 2012 I drove her from SF to Chicago, and since that point I really haven't driven her that much.
