Default Car wont start

So my girlfriends 04 Mach1 won't start. Thought it was the battery so I warmed it up, re installed it and it just cranks. It sits outside all the time so I figured it might be a frozen fuel line or something. Jeff told me to take the cap off the fuel rail and push the pin. Some fuel comes out put not a lot. Apparently it refuses to start every winter and it's her only car. Any ideas?

Have a garage? Push it in and see if that helps?

Any fuel line anti freeze used?

Drives Mach 1 in the snow? Potentially slipping and sliding all over the place?

With proper tires any car is capable of traveling safely in snow.

No she doesn't drive it in the snow. I was going to drive her to work the other day when it was snowing, but now I am driving her every day since it won't start.

I thought about that but don't I need to get the car started so it can cycle through?

Sometimes you get lucky. Anyway when the fuel pump is cycling it is going to move it around. Can't hurt?

Not always... It takes moister out of the fuel... So if you grab a few and dump them in eventually it will work its way through the system. Trying to start it and having the pump run will help push it through as well. Just takes time.

ive seen a few cars not start and then heet added and finally kick over. if your priming it enough the heet will get where it needs to go. not surprised its tough to find right now though, always happens at first weather break.

If it happens every winter might be time to look into why you have water in it's fuel system to begin with.

Yeah if she is going to do that you are going to need to use HEET a lot more often.

Tell her to keep her gas tank topped off the best she can. The lower it is, the more moisture/condensation can build up in the tank and eventually get into the gas and...freeze. Same reason we keep our bike tanks full in the winter.

I've been driving every make and model since 1996 and never needed HEET.
My 76 Caddy would start right up in -20 temps.

I have always gassed up at Amoco though (now BP obviously)

I think you only need HEET if you bought cruddy gas. Otherwise your car should be able to cope with it.

Well it's been working fine ever since, except some 15 year old nailed her car while she was sitting in a parking lot waiting for me.
