Next Civic SI to get 220+hp turbo 4

It's going to be like the SRT-4's blowing through half shafts.

Good for them if they do it, but I see Honda coming in around 250 - 300hp. They obviously don't push the envelope and aren't interested in HP wars.

Honda is notorious for being conservative with its ratings so I expect the car to be peppier than it's power suggests, but was hoping for a little more to be a real bridge between the base model and Type-R. The current 1.5T is faster than the old Si, so this should be a noticeable improvement. The chassis is already phenomenal and those adaptive shocks should be a nice touch, plus a real, mechanical limited slip is rare.

I hope that 220 number is either grossly under rated or highly detuned. S2000's make more power NA than that.

I was hoping this would be at least 260hp/260tq to make it a bit more of a pocket rocket. I'm not expecting it to be some mind blowing fast 4 banger or anything. Hopefully the type R shoots for well north of 300hp/tq.
