I'm not saying it's a bad deal considering the market. I remember back in like 2009 I looked at buying a new Wrangler. Base truck with A/C. 5-speed stick, literally no options and it was like $18,000 brand new. I like them, I just can't stomach the used market prices lol.

I just built one. A 2017 Sport with the only added option being the hard top is $25,985 with destination. You could probably get that new for under $20,000 with incentives/rebates. Not bad IMO.

I know it's apples to oranges old vs. new, but, fuck if I wanted to own something for ten years, enjoy driving it and not loose my ass on depreciation this would be it lol.

I love this cause years ago my neighbor lent his H1 to some local film makers. We're sitting down to dinner and he gets a call from local PD asking wtf he was doing running down main street with sirens going. They took it joyriding and were running the lights and sirens and shit...
