People were buying them early on with the technology package instead of the track package and then taking them on the track and they were overheating the transmission and differential.

The coolers now come on all GT350's whether you buy the electronics package or not. They should have probably seen that issue coming, but assumed people who tracked the car would go for the track package.

I wish GM would put the 1LE ZL1 aero and brakes on the N/A 1LE car. Then we would have a direct comparison. The GT350 and 1LE in the same class IMO. You can also argue the ZL1 1LE (that's such a gay name, just call it the Z/28) and 350R are in the same class based on price point but the ZL1 out power the R.

Im not a fan of saying cars are in the same class because of price point.... It's definitely more what Grabber laid out earlier.

So if the new GT500 comes out and runs a Nurburgring lap one tenth of a second faster than the ZL1 we get to call it hot garbage.... Should be interesting.
