Des Plaines crash kills 4 people

I forget how many of those "Alive at 25" classes I had to go to but it was alot. I wonder if I still have the stack of tickets from my late teens early 20's I bet it was two or three inches thick. Never had a lawyer.

90 westbound every morning the two left lanes are doing 80 at least. in a 55. I have only ever seen a handful of cops there that early in the 2 years I've been going that way. Hopefully I never see one up front(knocks on wood)

I'll go with the flow of traffic (doing about 80mph as well) and fly passed state troopers. No fucks given. I'm just going with the flow (albeit I can be pulled over and ticketed).

Also pretty bizarre...

Investigators wanted to retrieve information from the “black box” or automotive Event Data Recorder (EDR) in the Mercedes-Benz that could have revealed more details from the crash, but Mercedes-Benz has not cooperated with Des Plaines police investigators, according to Des Plaines Police Chief Bill Kushner.

Man that Impala was destroyed and the Mercedes (from the angle they videod from anyway) looks like it had front end damage, but the rest of the car was pretty much fine. :eek4:

Actually, the safety cage of the Impala held up quite nicely for being pounded at a 45* angle, or at an angle of nearly being t-boned, at 100+ mph! The rest of the mercedes doesn't look as bad as the Impala because it took the brunt of the damage head on, at the strongest point of impact for it.

Reverse the roles, and the Impala hit the Mercedes at 100+ mph, the results would be similar for the Mercedes.

What killed them was the impact and their necks presumably snapping from it.
