I'm a bit of a beer snob.

You disappoint me, Miller. So, there's really no national, major label domestic beer anymore.
Now I have to rename my dog.
Also, the US govt has no say in whether this take over / merger / whatever is a monopoly or not. Neither is a US company.
I believe it's up to British law (maybe EU as well) The Economist has been covering this for the last few weeks. I can post up the articles if anyone is interested.
SABMiller is a British company and AB InBev is a Belgium company.
They haven't been "national" for some time now.
Closest thing is Molson Coors, which has headquarters in both US and Canada.
Miller now owns Coors. has for a while.
Multiple Government agencies across the world will have to approve this. I've been through one merger and am going through another right now.
I am so glad I got out of the beer business. The us government can't control a company that is based elsewhere. Each state regulates how wholesalers are protected. Lots of people will be jobless on a corporate level and at the wholesaler level. Bad for reg workers good for corpo and stick holders
All this confirms is that I really wish we could get Yeungling here. Awesome and 100% American
Agreeeeeeddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And you spelled it wrong. Yuengling
Used to drink Miller Lite...
Moved to Florida.
Now drink Yuengling (which does taste great).
Never understood everyone's fascination...Dad moved to Florida, now loves it too...I drink it whenever I'm down there, doesn't really do anything for me
It's better than B/M/C and same price point.
Here I thought it was on the "premium" pricepoint...along with the Sam Adams and Liene's beers
None of those are exceptional in my opinion, but definitely not all shit. I was just speaking to Budweiser, Coors, and Miller
