Thanks guys. I was grinning ear to ear the first time it fired up and drove. Today I finished the wiring up and made it look pretty, also got an 02 bung welded in on the passenger side. I am picking up my power steering pressure hose tomorrow morning. Once that is in, I'm putting the front clip back on. I should be able to cruise it tomorrow night! Open headers of course...

Took another video today, it runs so much better than last night. Idles perfectly and its super responsive.

ive got an old 10 bolt out of a 79 camaro, already got a posi unit in it, i was gonna put it in my pacer but i think im gonna go a different route. let me know if ur interested.

love ur build by the way

Thanks but I think I decided I want something close to the stock axle width. Just so I can run my stock wheels and tires in the winter. Probably going to end up rebuilding my axle with the lsd I have. Cheapest option right now and it should last me until next spring.

Made a little progress today. Replaced the leaky p/s pump. Got the radiator mounted solid in the core support. Mounted the core support and the driver side fender. Finished up the radiator and trans cooler hoses. The taurus fan ended up being way too wide, it was right in the way of the upper rad hose and the intake elbow. So I ditched it for a couple 10" pushers, these should do the job nicely. I'm having some really weird issues with the exterior lights, but that won't stop me from driving it tomorrow!

Lol I don't know about that, I was hoping i'd be done way earlier. I won't be driving it today... the fucking radiator is pissing from the core itself. Soooo i'm gonna order a new one, hopefully get it sometime this week. Just have to look at the bright side, now I have time to diagnose my headlight issues lol. :fu:

Just about ready for the maiden voyage to the muffler shop. Taking it there in the morning. I pulled a late one tonight and got a whole lot done. All the exterior lights are working perfectly. The gauges are working great except for the tach, still need to get a tach signal interface. Got the check engine light hooked up. The rest of the front clip is on. I am still waiting on some intake pieces so the hood is staying off for now.

It actually sits a lot higher than before. I think this combo actually weighs less than the 4.3 haha

whats it sound like from below? drain or replace the filter and see if no oil flow for the 2 seconds makes the sound different
eliminate the belt drive temp and retest...any louder through oil fill cap? can you pinpoint the loudest area with a rubber hose/stethoscope?
but what im hearing...if it isnt an idler pulley...is usually indicative of a main bearing on an older bbc/sbc
