i already scratched my wood floors in one of the bedrooms fml.

I don't even bother anymore. I used to be anal about walls and floors being scuffed or scratched. I can't keep up with two little kids putting their paws on the floor or using a fork on the hardwood. I painted during the Holidays and my son put a sticky syrup hand on the wall. I was about to kill him given that I spent all that time prepping and painting.

Things that make me want to buy a flip phone and disconnect from reality completely and fuck off into obscurity:

Was talking to my GF about wanting to get an electronic drumset so I can jam without all the noise as we went to dinner. I had my phone on me in the truck. When we got home, I loaded up youtube on my iPad to watch some podcasts as I was reloading ammo and the first ad that pops up? Plastic cymbal covers/wall things that reduce noise in the direction you're facing.

You should see my edited post. I was in the truck with only my phone when I made the comment to her. Got home later, grabbed my iPad, and the iPad showed the ad. Yes I was logged into the same account on both devices and yes I know how it works.

when i've been skeptical in the past that something popped up in ads that I had recently spoke about, i was never certain wthat I hadn't also searched something or "liked" something related. But in this case it was so odd. I hadn't looked up porsche on my phone, followed them on any IG pages, liked any photos, nothing.

I honestly believed the social media companies saying that they do not listen in on your convos, seems like it'd be a LOT of work and an incredible invasion of privacy with little to no benefit, but signs do point to the contrary sometimes

I say "little to no benefit" because people search for things they are going to buy. Or "like" photos, or follow pages. And it's obvious you open yourself up to targeted advertisements when you search for something. What's the point of also listening in?

I know, 110% know as a provable fact, I haven't posted anything on TCG about drums, I haven't searched drums on youtube, google, amazon, anywhere, I literally have not even SPOKEN about drums probably in months. I don't have IG to like drums. Don't have Shitbook to post about drums. Don't have twitter because I'm not a mouthbreathing retard.

Mention wanting an electronic drum set to quietly jam out. Suddenly, drum parts for ads 45 minutes later.
