Their distribution radius is 20 miles from their brewery in Waterbury, Vermont. Couple friends and I spent a weekend skiing in the area and still had a total bitch of a time finding it. Every store sells out within an hour of delivery, and bars are completely hit or miss. Luckily we found a bar that still had some, and proceeded to drink everything the last few dozen they had left.

One of the best DIPAs I have ever had.

Yes, but all of those are their regular production beers that are 5-7%. Unsessionable is rare and 10%. I was surprised when they said they were doing 6 packs of it.

I had a bomber of dragons milk the other night. Didn't realize that it was 11% abv. Damn I had a close to empty stomach and by the end of the bomber is was pretty hammered. I tried it because a bunch of people on different occasions reccomended it to me. I went to that brewery a few years ago and tried a lot of their beers and really was not impressed. This one though was delicious.

Just got back from MN and picked up 6 bottles of Surly Darkness. Great beer and IMO better than Dark Lord.

I'm a little pissed. Buddy of mine was supposed to get me a bottle, and was like 3 people away when they ran out.

If Surly reduced the purchase count from 6 to 4 like Dark Lord, another 750 People could have bought 4 bottles and that would solve a lot of problems.

Got a text last night that he did get some bottles after the fact, and I knew he got a snifter for me too. Pretty pumped.

I had some if the 2013 in a bottle share last month, shit was good.

Darkness should see distribution here this year, so hopefully those who missed out can snag one. For what it's worth, I enjoyed the non-barrel aged version this year more than the BA version on draft. Both were outstanding though.

Did you have the Non-Barrel aged out of the cask by chance? I thought it was horrible.

Quite the opposite though, I prefer the BA Version (Which is also what is in the Bottles) over the Non-Barrel aged Darkness.

There were a few stores that received Darkness last year, but, they were $21.xx with tax at Binny's and maybe got a case per store. Very limited quantities. Hopefully they get more, but, can't really know for sure until closer to the end of the year.

We will see what happens.

I don't remember off hand if it was from the cask or not, but the line was pretty damn long so I would guess that it was from a cask.
