Must have really had a big feud with Costner if they didn't even bother to bring him back for what little episodes are left of the series... I thought the episode sucked, looks like they really want to end this quickly. Show was done anyways long ago, it hasn't been good for a couple seasons.

Cosner wouldn't come back to shoot because he was working on his 3 or 4 part passion project, Horizon: An American Sage. Part 1 got released and lost so much money, they couldn't continue filming.
Since he wouldn't come back to shoot, there wasn't much they could do in that case.
