right, my truck isn't almost 7 years old, and didn't start it's life running around canadian oil pipelines.

Great. Every duramax gets all new valve cover and Rocker box bolts. 40 some bolt and almost everyone has to be brushed free of debris and the bit pounded in it or use of a hand impact to assure they don't strip

I will say that having interior torx screws on valve covers is dumb. I had to drill out the cobalt cover because of them stripping from getting all salty

No issues here. I work on torx fasteners day in and day out where people fucking sweat all over them, pressure wash shit “clean”, red and blue locktite and dissimilar metals.

Maybe the bits you are using are just too good! Get weaker bits so they blow up instead of the screw
