2001 Grand Prix GTP. $4,000 FIRM.
Supercharged 3.8L V6.
Black on Black, 92K miles.
Rear side windows and back window have 20% tint.
Leather, power everything, moonroof, heated driver seat, HUD.
Lloyds Floormats with "GTP Supercharged" logo
The Good:
SLP PowerFlo Exhaust. Sounds nice.
Ran 14.73 @ 92.9 in the 1/4 mile.

New parts at 82K miles:
Supercharger oil, Ignition coils, Spark plugs and wires

New parts at 91K miles:
Front wheel bearings, Front brake pads, Fresh synthetic oil change

The Bad:
4th Gear is out. Shifts fine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, just doesn't shift into 4th. Shift solenoids have been checked and they're fine, so it's something with 4th gear that's bad.
Probably needs the trans rebuilt, and I think my selling price fairly reflects this.
Headlights are kinda foggy, and the front-left speaker is blown.

Price is firm.
I've been quoted $3300 (plus tax) at a dealer for trade-in value.

$4000 seems kind of meh to me? I can get a trans for a decent price and do the work my self I just don't know if its worth it or not. Let me know whats you guys think.

With a busted transmission, no way. If the trans were fine that price would be justifiable.

Damn I saw a nice $4K 01 GTP (the best :D hehe) and everything looked good. THEN ya gotta explain how the trans is failing.... DAMN!

Stay away. He could have demodded it before trade in? Who knows. I would try to find a 2 door though.

Trans rebuild will probably be around $1500.
If you are getting hooked up. EVERYWHERE I went where I was just a walk in customer said AT LEAST 18K without tax.

I got it done for $1,400 out the door through a friend. Works great

$1500 was a pretty normal price for a stock trans rebuild on a 65e:dunno:

I can get the same guy who builds my trans on my T/A for a "built" trans for cheap cheap and all the labor is done by me so no cost. I thought it seems high it's not demodded its a DD for the past 4 years to this guy.
