When I drove tall vehicles, I always take it slow and to know the height of the vehicle and bridge. I guess there's people that just doesn't give a fuck.

Oh that video is so great!!! That reminds me of the bridge just East of 90/94 on North Avenue in the city. I used to work out of the Home Depot on North Avenue and at least once every 2 weeks a truck got stuck under the train bridge because it was too tall!

I drove box trucks for decades. Any time you see an 11' height sign, you had better know the exact height of your vehicle. 12' = safe for most box trucks. 11' = video.

I have the pictures [buried somewhere] of a Schneider semi that tried unloading during mass receiving of the Lowe's at 83rd & Stewart, she got caught under something, scalped the tractor, and somehow bent the trailer into a wide V. "You unload my truck now right?" "No, your truck is severely damaged, we have to have a team come out, assess the damage and unload it now"

the trucks don't even make it to the bridge, there is a gigantic I-Beam about 10 feet in front of the bridge to scalp the trucks before they can do any structural damage. Pause it at ~0:49 and they show a side view of the bent I-beam

Haha this makes me lol!

We had several incidents in my area where loads were too high.

One was a few years ago and a lo-boy was hauling a John Deere True dual articulating tractor and turned it into a convertible.

The other was a lo-boy hauling a big CAT 787 dump box and hit a buckle on the interstate.
Oops lol
