That is amazing. Is that a prairie kind of plateau in the background or is that just dirt? Looks really cool on its own out there.

They both have grass on top. Golden, CO is nestled between two tables.

Probably. I get a ton of high winds living next to green mountain so can't imagine it going between the two plateaus

If you look in the upper deck, there's a single row of purple seats, that's the mark at exactly one mile high altitude if memory serves... When I went there for a game Jason Schmidt was pitching for the Giants for crying out loud. LOL

Haha my wife said that after I took it. Just an iPhone 6 and a filter with awesome lighting from Mother Nature. A storm had just passed right before.

Went and rode on the Georgetown loop train and hung out in Georgetown, CO for a few hours today.

This thread just reminds me of how much I dislike Illinois. If for some reason we couldn't live here, Colorado would be on my short list. In fact it's probably runner up to LA.

We stayed in Frisco off of I70 on the way out to LA from Chicago and it was like a postcard. Basically the whole trip through Colorado until you get to Utah is jaw droppingly beautiful.

I liked Utah, mostly the southwestern portion. Not so much the eastern part that you hit out of Colorado. Between the two I'd take Colorado all day errr day.

Finally made a trip to the top of the Sandia Mountains in my car. Which is kind of silly as this road is less than 2 miles from my place, and it is a perfect road. First time I have really opened her up on a twisty mountain road. Thankfully there wasn't any traffic and the road was in perfect condition (no pot holes or big dips). It was amazing and a beautiful day. 70* and mostly sunny. Pulled off half way up to take a few pictures. I will miss this car once she is gone. For this thing being dirty as hell right now, it still shines like crazy. I absolutely love that Wolfgang sealant....going strong for a year. Also a great time of year out here. Wild flowers absolutely everywhere.
