I still have a working .edu e-mail address. $50 a year! :bigthumb:
Do you get less features with the .edu email address. I still have a working one too

EDIT: Come to think of it, I use the .edu address, but I still pay the full $100 :bs:

Is Top Gear really as popular as we all on a car site make it out to be? I don't think it's as big of a deal in the US as most think it is.

It was the most illegally downloaded TV show, of any kind, while it was on

not gonna lie... all i thought when i read this was...

"so...?"
That shows it has a large fan base :dunno: Turk asked if it was as popular as this site makes it seem, and all the downloads would sort of prove that it is.

it only shows it has a large fan base with people who download things illegally.

proves nothing.

It's popular enough for Amazon to pick it up, but not popular enough for Netflix.

Boom answered.

Amazon is looking to push media globally and TG has 350 million viewers worldwide.

Not that I know of. The just call it Amazon Student or something and discount the price to $50. I haven't noticed any lack of features.

My guess is that Amazon was agressive in getting TG to sign with them. Amazon has been pushing their streaming services in commercials and signing on the trio to continue their show on Amazon would make a large push for people to go to Amazon streaming, and potentially bring them out of the Netflix shadow.

I think it was smart move by amazon, but who knows at how much $...

I just hope episodes are released weekly instead of 12 at once. Everybody always ruins it by binge watching
