Bill, super great road skills and great on the 2 way, keeping us all safe. A tour OG and always a great guy to talk with.

Pete, great around hanging out, thanks for the drinks on the veranda, definitely opened my eyes to the scat pack appeal.
Except when I REALLY worked that apex on the downhill left hand sweeper and everyone thought I went tumbling off into the weeds. That WAS a lot of dust my car pulled up. I was surprised by the cloud in my rear view mirror.

Also, When driving Petes car, I had to learn how to drive an Auto again. And was impressed with the 8spd. Shifts nice. Good rumble, and moves out on the top end.

Picnic lunch is a good idea to save time. Stopping for lunch could put us back a few hours. Only downside is the lunch spots are usually destinations. I could have done without the fast food on day 2 lunch and just grabbed something at Kwik Trip and got on the road but missing something like the Brewery would have been aggravating.

I wasn't wholly disappointed, especially when someone said there was an Arby's nearby. yeah, it's kind of trash, but I was jonesing for some potato cakes. Then was told at the register they were discontinued. I didn't want to waste any more time seeking out another place to eat. Otherwise I'd have grabbed something at Kwik Trip as well and put rubber to the road.

That was the only disappointing factor for me on day 2 lunch.

I understand there are some destined lunch stops which are perfectly fine, but figure getting in at least 1 night early by skipping lunch to grab some go karts, dinner, then hotels.
