While the idea of building an older glory days car seems cool - fuck that. The car you can just get into and drive without having to blow $ and time on constantly is the better choice.

This. I've 110% ran out of motivation to work on anything anymore that isn't making me a buck. I've got three project vehicles that will probably not see the light of day for at least a year simply due to my lack of desire and time to devote a weekend to working on them.

That means you're getting older and wiser and... lazier? Either way, its a common phenomenon.

100% lazier. I know I can do the shit myself, I just don't have the time to do it and if the time affords itself I'd rather be doing something else productive. I'm also in a position where I can pay someone $500 in labor to do ball joints, u joints and wheel bearings on a truck vs. motherfucking it myself for a day and a half after working a 10 hour day. I still do all the work on items I'm reselling because I view that as a job.

I want to buy an old saturn sl and turbo it with a 4g63. But then I remember I have a home and full time job.

Lol

If I had to build my car all over again Id probably never get it done. So can definitely empathize with just buying something that works

However. Dont let other people affect how you feel about a car you like. You will never please everyone. If you like GTAs better than a ZL1, buy it.
