Accccccctually, there is a way to allow user disable email notifications but I have to pay for that feature I believe. Checking.

What is the difference between mentions, tags and hashtags?

The hashtag is supposed to be like twitter....#sprayinlikesdick...but I think it only comes w/ the Pro versoin.

And tag, if you notice at the top of every there, there is a box..you can enter multiple users in there is you want them to see a thread.

I REALLLY dont like how it gives me a notification when I quote someone. If someone quotes me thats one thing, but I know when I quote someone, I dont need a fucking notification for it.

Correct. I have a severe OCD issue where I have to clear notifications of any kind. I hate extra.

Look at the top of the thread...you can tag multiple members for the thread, not just a post (which is a "mention").
