I missed the part in ESB where the entire empire was trailing the entire rebellion and tracking them. (before you say a word, the Falcon is NOT the entire rebellion and the Falcon managed to escape eventually and had the "stupid subplot" in the belly of a meteor monster) I missed the part in TLJ where they started tripping ATATs. I missed the deserted planet they trained on in TLJ. I missed the bad guy turned good guy in EITHER movie.

Gotta see what happens with the codebreaker in EP9 to see if that is a rip off, but until then.......you cannot compare him to Lando.

The killing of snoke, watching it again today, IMO was brilliant. Touted he sees all. Kylo mimicked everything he was doing to Rey in order to mask what he was doing to Snoke. Say what you want, but *slow clap*.
Are you being serious?? Milk Titty monsters and lizard nuns make Achtoo a bustling metropolis? I said tried to turn. Maybe you missed the ending of ESB... Spoiler, Vader is Luke's dad and tries to get him to Join the darkside and rule the galaxy exactly like Kylo tries with Rey. Come on.

I missed the part in TFA where anyone bought droids from Jawas, I missed the part in TFA when there was a priness, I missed the part in ANH where a storm trooper was black. There is no way The Force Awakens was a rip off of A New Hope. That's how you sound....

The themes and tone from ANH and TFA are the same. The tone of ESB and TLJ are NOT. Themes are similar, but jump the shark, which is why I think all of you are bitching. If it had TFA feel, Id bet all of you would still hate on it. TFA still had haters here.

Sorry if I debunk your shit and dont like it. I didnt know "milk titty monster" (is this the new nuke fridge? Come on guys), Jedi Temple caretakers, R2, and Chewy are nobodys. Its just Luke and Rey. :io:

I just bought and watched this movie for the first time... I should have waited a bit longer and rented it. It wasn't total garbage as I was somewhat entertained, but it wasn't far off. They should have had way more Luke and way less of Leia's coked out ass.

I didn't really feel a need to care for any of the characters. My wife doesn't really watch these movies, but hated Rose's character. She didn't understand why she was even in the movie. The entire casino/del toro part of the movie could have not existed at all as far as I am concerned. Definitely not one of the better Star Wars movies.

Someone stick a fork in this movie franchise. It is done.

Like James Bond, I think it will never die.

And Im ok with it.

As far as Streep, Ill say she isnt a bad actress at all. Batshit crazy maybe, but nothing wrong with her acting in roles. If Leia was supposed to be a driving force in the movie, and they dont want to CGI her, which I kinda get, this is probably the closest we are going to get.

FWIW, I didnt think the GCI Tarkin was terrible in Rogue 1.

I didn't realize it was out until a commercial was on this weekend and I exclaimed to the Wife that it's out already... :D She told me to shut it, because she got it for my son in his easter basket and didn't want him to hear me talking about it. :D

As a whole, it still wasn't the greatest. I still like the Snoke throne room scene where Rey and Kylo go postal. Still like where she turns the cruiser around and hits lightspeed right through Snokes cruiser, and of course the scene on Crait when Kylo orders every gun to fire on Luke (his hologram unbeknownst to him at that point), when Hux turns to him and ask "Do you think you got him..."

Sorry if anyone hasn't seen it yet and I gave away some scenes.

Also, watching this again, I realized how damn long it was. I think they could've cut down some of the scenes on Ach-To of Rey chasing Luke around the island. I think we got the hint that Luke didn't want to train her via his interaction with her, so we didn't need scene after scene of her chasing him around the island. This also would've done away with the "milking" scene. Then the scenes on Canto Bight could've been pared down. the scenes in the stables, the couple of scenes with that creature complaining about where they parked their ship, etc...

Watched it at home last night. It was slightly better when I saw it the 2nd time in theaters, hasn't gotten any better a 3rd time. Still just an awful addition to the main star wars story.

Rey and Finn 'Back Together Again' in Star Wars: Episode IX - IGN

Then there's this. Yay, solved a problem no one gave a shit about.... Finn is such an terrible character.

Soooo I bought the blue ray and watched it again and after really listening to everything, the script kinda makes sense. Now granted that I agree there are a lot of plot holes and it made the story line irrelevant, but basically the movie is exactly what Kylo says to Rey, let the past die. Basically this is the start of a new chapter to the EU.

But there is still a chance that the whole "who is rey's parents" gets revisited in the 9th installment.

Of course there is always one bad guy, and I have a gut feeling Kylo is not the main bad guy in the 9th film. I believe Hux will have a pivotal role in the 9th film. If you watch the body language of General Hux, I think Hux does not like that Kylo around. He seems to protrude this displeasure to Kylo. Even notice in Snokes chamber post lightsaber battle, Hux arrives and find Kylo unconscious and hes about to pull his blaster out when Kylo regains consciousness. I am super curious about that.

Hux and Kylo have had "tension" in The Force Awakens too. But yea, it was on full display in this one. I don't know what leg Hux has to stand on unless he's secretly a force sensitive individual also.

Bingo

I think there is a larger force in play with this one. I would like to believe that Snoke/Ren was just the tip of the iceberg. I think Hux knows more than we are led to believe.

Because if Kylo was removed from the equation, I believe Hux then would be in charge?
