This was a bad rain but I think we had one 2 yrs ago that flooded a lot of areas worse. 4-5 inches in a very short duration (2hrs maybe?)

I went to Home Depot to get some 4” corrugated pipe yesterday to extend my downspouts further out from the house. Did a good job so I think I’ll be trenching them in over the next couple days so I don’t have 10 to 15’ runs of pipe laying across my yard.

Some municipals have regulations on how far from the house an underground downspout can emit water. Not often you see it enforced.

I’d have to dig through the municipal code a bit more but didn’t see anything the other day. Also it’s in my backyard and I’d rather run the slight risk of getting caught than asking and being told no.

I got in a ride on the sport bike, then gassed up the cruiser and did a 10 mile loop. Bike wasn’t in the garage five minutes before the sprinklers started.

People next door having an outside party. Most of them are smokers. When I pulled up I watched someone light up while they were sitting next to someone with an oxygen tank.
