The flame sensor thing saved me. I remember last year the furnace just keep cycling and instead of panicking I rubbed the sensor free of debris with a fresh $20 bill and reinstalled... Bam, heat!

I cleaned it lightly with sand paper and still nothing!

Could be a bad limit switch. Do you have a schematic on the inside of the removal panel or some sort of fault codes?

Thanks for the reminder. Just vacuumed out the dust, changed the filter, and cleaned the flame sensor. Everything works and ready to go!

Great thread. I just fired up mine over the W/E and couldn't get the pilot to stay lit.
I cleaned the white crap off the thermocoupler, and it stayed on
The problem was it wouldn't stay lit when I cranked the temp up

I ended up taking it out of the holder and moved it closer to the pilot flame.
So I'm thinking it's time to replace it???
It makes no sense it won't stay lit while heating, but does when pilot only is on???
