I'd hop on an E60 5 series before an A4/ S4. You can pick up a 2004 - 2005 545 with a 6 speed and man pedal for ~$13000 - $15000 and it's a fun car to drive, especially since all the manual cars got the sport package.
I'm loving my 550.
Hmmm Im intrigued by the 545i... What about this one?

Really? The 545's are that cheap now? What kind of mileage?
Fuck yeah... It's the same N54 motor found in the 335. It's just not as common to mod them because it's a different buyer demographic.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Blac...9689374?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item27c048511e

blk awd 535xi wagons.
can these be made quick?
One day of wrenching on any of those German sedans you mentioned will make you want to kill yourself.
The bimmer would be faster (after light mods), handle better, get better gas mileage and the interiors aren't even comparable. Those mid-2000 Chrysler interiors weren't exactly dripping in luxury or even respectable build quality for that matter.
Seriously
i would go the beeemer for mpg as well as awd...
