Paint Discoloration?

Came home today and noticed some odd spots on the trunk of the SloLara I haven’t seen before.

Kid took it through a touch less wash earlier today.

Hit it with some instant detailer no change. Surface feels smooth.

Any ideas guys?

Looks like when bird shit since on the paint too long.

Maybe the chemicals are real harsh and ate thru the clear since it’s touch less?

That’s what I am thinking. Touchless washes use some pretty aggressive chemicals to get road grime, film, and salt off. Strange it’s only one area though.

23 year old car and the wash was hours ago so oh well.

Sure does, or egg. But this is gloss smooth still. No etching like you get from bird droppings or egg.

I had my new Tacoma ceramic coated and made the mistake of running it thru a gas station touchless Carwash over the winter. The ceramic was gone with zero water beeding. never again will I use a gas station Carwash.
