So I'm debating opening up portions of the site to guest posting again (I know, it worked SO well last time). But with how much Ive been sharing forum content on FB lately, I want to capture those folks who might not register but are reading the site.

I would only be looking to open things up to maybe member rides, events and dunno what else yet.

This go around, I would be taking volunteer mods to keep the trash away. I wont allow things to go down the path they did before.

Just brainstorming..but I think we could have had a lot more forum voting and discussion for Battlegrounds if guests could partake.

Discuss.

I don’t see it being so hard to sign up that it prevents people from posting

Maybe I'll move Battlegrounds to member rides and only have that section open. I tend to share member builds so allowing guests to comment ONLY on that section would make the most sense.

Employ 2 or 3 mods to keep things clean...

That seems like a good compromise idea all around

Off topic, On Topic, etc will always remain closed to guests (for posting). The sections I share are what I'm most focused on.

Can't all IT nerds unite and burn facebook to the ground so it can die?

Guest voting is also turned on. Not sure if that will end up being good or bad. I wont announce it for this months Battlegrounds but Ill test it for January.

Does guest voting do one vote per IP or how does it work?
