Go to phone settings > security > lock screen preferences..

See if it's set to block.

Android 9.0 pie.

Started using Messages app. Which I think is factory app.

On lock screen it lights up to show I haz a message, but says content blocked. I want to see my messages on lock

Settings --> apps & notifications --> messages --> notifications --> default --> advanced --> on lock screen

It'll either be on lock screen settings, which looks like its off for you so it shouldn't be that.

Or its in the settings in messages to control content.

Or it could also be a missing app permission under messages app in Application settings.

All I want is a new phone with a telephoto camera lens.

The folding phone looks sick. Not worth the price though when I can buy a top of the line phone, plus a tablet and still be cheaper.

I do miss folding and slider phones. My favorite Android phones were my Motorola Droid 2 and Droid 4, with the slide out keyboard. They were so much nicer for surfing forums, emailing, and texting.
