Here are some pictures of the Grand Am replacement, the new G6.
Sedan is the first one out in late 2004, then in 2005 comes the coupe and late 2005 my next car, the coupe hard top retractable convertible.
Pontiac revealed the G6 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
It goes on sale in Fall 2004. Additional models of the G6 will follow, including a 2+2 sports coupe and a convertible.
The G6’s total performance attributes include:
- All-new family of performance oriented powertrains, including a 170-horsepower HO 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder, 200-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and 240-horsepower HO 3.9-liter V-6
- Sophisticated, electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode standard on GT model
- European-designed high performance six-speed manual transmission available with 3.9 V-6

- Four-wheel sport-tuned independent suspension, with MacPherson strut front suspension, four-link independent rear suspension, variable-assist electric power steering, full function traction control, and a range of 16-, 17-, and 18-inch performance wheels and tires
