For sure double check it for any material.
the oem one is pretty expensive but you could always go to the NA version and use a sandwich adaptor for a nice external one. Probably would end up cheaper too.
Started to port and polish the TGV's and Intake manifold. Tuesday on my next day off I'll be having the sensor and motor holes for the TGV's welded. No pictures because it was 6 am.
Honestly not a lot. For 02-05 WRX's they ran a 2.0L. All Sti's and 06+ WRX's run a 2.5L. Heads are different to include cams. At some point the STI crank got a special treatment, and maybe different oil passages.
06+ wrx's are 2.5L's. The block is a 2.5L 2011 STI block, crank, and rods. CP pistons. Stock 06 WRX's heads. Deleted TGV's. Ported and somewhat polished TGV's, throttle body, exhaust manifold, and debating turbo.
Motor is back in the car, in the process of reattaching everything. Intake/tgv's and wiring harness plus fuel rails need to go back in. We had timing set but the tensioner (that I just replaced) if bad and allows the belt to have slack, so I have to buy another one.
Likely not much work on it in the next 2 weeks, stupid fucking "exercise" at work.
