How often do you come across R32's for sale? Particularly 1989-1991 models

I met a guy living in Osaka a couple months ago who was from New York. He found and bought a R32 with extremely low KMs (like 20K) and told me it was a million Yen.

At current exchange that's about $9000. Then you need to factor in the expense of getting it shipped home. Figure about another $2-4000 for that. If you are not able to manage the purchase and paperwork yourself you'll need someone to manage that part of the process for you too - some shippers can do the paperwork as long as you get the car to them.

In that instance, ya, it's cheaper. Most people are going to go through an improper and right now, prices are in the mid 20s.
