After listening to it again it does sound like a really bad misfire vs a knock.

A compression check and leak down test should tell more.

I was gonna call up Kurt but when I talked to him at the track day, he was letting on that hes pretty swamped. I dont want the car to sit for weeks if I dont have to. Probably leaving the house on Sunday.

If I know anything from watching episodes of Roadkill, to fix it all you need are some zip ties, gaffer tape (better than duct tape), some random washers/screws/bolts found on the side of the desert highway, some odd lengths of assorted wire, and gasket sealer in a can.
