And since I loved it so much, picked up a CPO 2016 R..............DSG

So far, fucking love this thing. I was sold the minute I took it out for a spin. The power and trans in this thing are in perfect harmony. Already had tints and new tires. 1 owner car, guy traded it in for a red R

Got a good deal, said fuck it.

I really expected to not like the trans but as soon as I put it in race mode, sold. And the lovely noises between shifts

It's very GTR feeling, it's pretty dope. Reliable too.

Im not positive, but I think that car has some sort of valved exhaust on it too.

Golf Rs are ridiculously priced. Almost 40k, no thanks. I did find a few for 35 or so but all out of state. I set a spending limit and the R just wasnt in my range nor did I see any true benefits...

And at the time, there wasn't shit for sale in IL. Being a CPO really helped convince me too.

I love these things. Drove a six speed and lined it. Then I drove a DSG one and was very impressed. Absolute rocket. It was a basically a hatch version of my wife's BMW. I was just too cheap to justify a $40k price on a car for me.
