Was at a Costco the other day and was looking at the fresh fish section and came across this lobster tail, this was huge, looked tasty but not everyone at my house eats lobster so it would have gone to waste if I purchased it . It was a 2.5 lbs so that would take the lobster to close to 7 lbs roughly . That’s one big lobster.

Bigger lobster tails are tougher to eat, and don't have the taste the smaller ones do. Bigger isn't always better.

Id rather have 5 smaller ones, and pay less.

totally agree with you on that one! A tail that size is best for a lobster roll or a salad.
