So, I've been thinking about getting a new one. The TCG tow rig might get retired, she's aging badly and rusting. Either I will put the 6.0 in the Camaro or just sell it as is.

So, my options I'm thinking about...

Crew Cabs

12-13 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali
14-17 GMC Sierra SLT or Silverado LTZ

Only in white, silver, gray exteriors and black interiors.

I'm a cheap ass, but I've found a couple I like. One is a '12 Denali with 85k and the other, well that's interesting... it's a '17 Sierra SLT with 25k but it's a rebuilt/Salvage.

Denali entices me with the 6.2, and possible LSA swap it might endure...

The 14-17 models, well because I like the body and its newer and a learning curve for me.

Go on the hunt and toss some of those my way.

My 2015 Silverado LTZ had the 5.3 with 3.42. I always felt it needed the 6.2. If I were to do it over I would have gotten the 6.2/8 speed.

Do your 24*12s and 40" tires play into that as well??

And that Denali I listed was $22k the 17 was $30k.

If done right, lsa swap could be under 4500

I'm talking about my 2015 chevy, not my 2018 GMC. The chevy was stock for most of the time I had it.

So no 2500....

I'd 5.3 and boost that since you already mentioned it. Plenty of ways to do that on the cheap.

Honestly having an 8 speed I wouldn't worry about it. Get the proven 6 speed and save your dollars.

Both the newer 14-17 and the 6.2 Denali has 6L80e. Only difference is how much the fun-o-meter would be.

I'm not old, and I still like a quick ride. I haven't researched anything on the newer LT based engines. The 6.2 is still LS based, and should be fun in factory form.

Besides, I still an on focusing on the Camaro. But I'm down 1 ride and DD my 03 Xterra... Crv still is down with no oil pressure and I blowddeeedd up the 4.56 gear in the truck AGAIN.
