I was just thinking about this thing in my hunt for a gmt800 2wd burb

It's been paid out. Quite well too. Lol.

It's gonna be basically restored on state farms dime with what was paid. And it wasn't a collision claim as it was My neighbors tree and claimed under their home owners liability.

So that's good for me. ?

Plan is to collect all the minty used parts to bolt on and do paint touchups and then dump the rest of the money into finishing my turbo 5.3 swap.

Also would like to rip all the carpet out and order a replacement TAN rubber vinyl floor kit.. yes they make them. Lol

Still can't find a not bent hatch in diamond white that is aluminum. But I have all the other paint matched parts needed. All OEM take offs too..

What makes me more sad is the difficulty in finding another clean 2wd gmt800. I may even consider a crew cab too.

But I'll buy it back to keep the parts to transfer over to the replacement
