I don't think I'm going to go with anything that is hard lined plumbed to my water cause we don't drink our water so I'll have to supply it with a 5 gal jug.

I was looking at the combo water dispenser/ice maker. But big complaint is ice storages d keeping it cool.

Following. The house I'm buying has a freezerless refrigerator in the kitchen with no water dispenser or ice maker. There is a big freezer in the basement. I want a countertop or standalone ice maker/water dispenser.

We had one of those counter top models, forgot the brand, maybe igloo. Was nice to have, a little loud, fresh ice but the one thing my girl noticed was it wasn't hard ice, like you get from the freezer. I think it made 2 sizes, small and large, they were cone shaped but the bottom was concave. I believe within an hour the container was full, we did put some into baggies and tossed them into the freezer but didn't do that too often. I think the machine lasted a year or so, but was running every day during the time we had it. Once it stopped working we never got a replacement.
