I collect Hot Wheels, always have and after moving last year, I realized that I buy them in the store to put in a storage box, so I'm going to try and get rid of 99% of my collection and only keep a handful.

I would guess I have 3-400 cars on the cards and about 40-50 loose ones.

For pricing, I will be going to ebay and looking at recently sold for each individual casting and price accordingly.

I will be updating this thread often as I catalogue and price out the cars.

I had started a catalogue earlier this year, here's the google sheet with the cars I have sorted.

I did some heavy spring cleaning this year. Had probably a few hundred packaged Hot Wheels from late 90's. After doing some research online I found out that they are pretty much worthless. I looked up values of the series(s) and noted any that were worth over a few bucks. Most of the cars I would be lucky to be worth the purchase price. But I figured I would never find a buyer that was willing to pay that buying in bulk. Had a few treasure hunts worth 10-40$ but I would probably need to sell individually on eBay to get that. Just didn’t have the time to go through everything and sell individually to make the most money. I forgot if I kept the treasure hunts but I basically sold 90% of them for next to nothing. If they were not worth anything more keeping them already for almost 25 years holding on to them for another 25 and taking upconsiderable closet space wasnt worth it either.

Started adding IMGUR links and reorganized the Google Sheet in a better format, trying to sort alphabetical by model and oldest Hot Wheel year.

I'm at the point that almost all the cars I cataloged have prices and pics, the next round need to be cataloged, priced and photographed.

To come: Lamboghini, Porsche and then the non-real cars (flintstone, Angry Bird, etc) and then the Treasure Hunts and Errors.

Do you have any pictures of the loose cars you have? Nice collection!

My brain thinks HW 24/7. It sucks.

I will get some pics eventually, I'm still working through the carded stuff, though I've gone through the majority of them. I'm onto sets, one offs and "not real" cars next. I've got Simpsons, Beatles Yellow Submarine, Star Trek, etc on cards next to update.

It's super easy to buy these too, we'd go to the grocery store and I'd pop in the toy aisle and ah, they're only $1, I'll grab a few. Problem for me was I would put them in a box and do nothing with them, not even look at them, hence why I'm selling.

When I get to the loose cars, I have a loose Super Treasure Hunt Toyota 2000GT, I traded for 2 of them so I could open 1 of them.
