That turbo kit is $8K, the bare heads are $2,500 and complete are probably close to $4K, 426 bottom end is easily $10-15K, ID1700’s are $1,800. That’s just the big stuff, not all of the nickel and dime shit.

I only know one guy that actually compounded a 3800. He runs 10's but is running about 45 psi. If he opened the bypass, and ran 25 psi, he would run 9's.

I have seen compounded turbo systems before but I thought the turbo into the supercharger was a bad idea since the turbos act as a restriction to the SC since it has no spool time.

There is somewhat of an inlet restriction on the supercharger, but with this method, spool time is largely decreased. So it easily makes up for it.

Hellion did this with an 03 Cobra Over a decade ago. Its nothing new. IIRC its been done on a GT500 too.

We watched this setup throw out a certifiably insane 1,188 rwhp and an even more impressive 1,015 rwtq-through a stock engine including the factory cast-iron exhaust manifolds.
