... If the schools in the area were better I'd stay in this town but as it sits I have 10 years to move. There is no way in hell my child will go to middle school or high school in Elgin, the grade school we're assigned to is Hilltop which surprisingly has good ratings and is almost in walking distance.
This. Especially after the kid (who lives around the corner from us), got thrown down and beat over at Kenyon Woods a few weeks back, our kids will NOT go to any school in U-46.
When my Son was about to go into Pre-School a couple years back, we attempted to do the public thing here in U-46. My Son ended up in a class that had one Pre-schooler who had to weigh 75 pounds and loved to beat up on other kids, one who took a dump in a corner of the classroom (I'm not talking about in any diaper mind you, I'm talking about dropping trou and dropping a duece over by the bookshelf), and the kid who sat next to him with a "drooling problem", we quickly made the decision to private school him.
We've got about 5 years before private schooling will be up and then we're putting them back in WeGo schools.
