I've always liked GMs 2 mode hybrid system. Not sure why people were against it.

Did it have a lot of issues that I didn't hear about?

the only thing i've "heard" of is that the trans is specific to hybrid units- but past that it's a pretty solid system i thought.

maybe [MENTION=236]Stink Star Productions[/MENTION] could drop some facts on hyrbid 09/10 ish 6.0 yukon/tahoes.

Yea the 6.0 is more or less the same as every other GM oil burner, only difference is it doesn’t have a starter motor. The trans is hella specific and has 2 electric motors in it. Honestly the transmissions don’t seem to have issues, at least that I’ve ever seen. The big problem is the battery pack. It’s not liquid cooled like the volt/bolt and as of about a year ago they seem to all be taking shits. I’ve had to condemn 3 in the last year for batteries. The repair is cheap labor wise, but the battery is about $4000. And the vehicle is a brick without the battery

I’ve seen a few places list reman batteries for 2-3k but obviously you’re probably taking a gamble with how reliable they will be..
