LOTR = best
Blitzu - What do you mean, he wasn't that strong anymore? in the third one he was the strongest he'd ever been...he even gained powers in the "real world". But even so, the 2nd and 3rd matrix were really disappointing...i agree with the single blockbuster idea...the first was amazing.
The second one he sort of kept up his "invincibility" as it was made out to be in the first movie... that is once he becomes "the one".
Although he seemed to have troubles still keeping his ultimate control as it was made out to be.
The third one he just seemed like a pussy to me... getting his ass tossed around everywhere... sure their was this "glitch" in the system (agent smith), but nevertheless he was suppose to be "the one".
I don't know.. the first one was completely different from the next two... more exciting, more believable, the second and third just seemed to me as a ploy to make more money off of a movie that did well. Even though I do know it was intended on being a trillogy from the get go, but for the sake of just creating something good for once instead of looking for money only... they screwed up. I think the second and third made the first one's overall excitment less. Sounds weird, but I think the special effects overkilled the intent of the movie.
LOTR is just popular now because it is part of this generation, I also think the third movie of that just made the trillogy crap. I loved the second, but the third also seemed way too overdone with special effects, and unbelievable stunts... the second was just balls to the wall fighting... kudos on that. Back to the third... what the hell was up with the 9 endings it had... I swear I got up at least 5 times thinking the movie was over, but they kept on dragging it out... and the battle scene at the end of that one was just way to unbelieveable... it was like they couldn't get hurt... the numbers were way too overwhelming.. the second ones battle was at least believeable, 10,000 versus 1,000 or 2,000 seems more right than 200,000 vs. 5000.
I know, I know it is just a movie, but make it alittle bit believable, and stay away from overwhelming CGI stunts and they might have had a great movie.... it might have even been more believable if one of the main characters would have got hurt at least, if not killed... would have made it better.
Yeah I use to be a theatre manager for 6 years... if that explains some of my pickyness.
I like the classic Star wars still as one of the best, if not the best.
