Under $10K I'd look for something that won't cost you a mint if it breaks.

I ordered a radiator for my Caddy from Rock Auto for $200. Shop wanted $700+ to fix it. It's easy to replace the radiator. 3 hours book time. If it was a German car, the numbers would go way up. I was hoping it was just a clamp but I replaced the upper radiator hose with new clamps and it still leaks. Gotta be the radiator. It looks like it's leaking somewhere around the hose but, since the hose/clamps didn't fix it, the radiator is the only part that could be leaking. 130K miles so it's definitely possible. What would a German car cost to replace a radiator?

What's the book time? Prices look good although I went with a GM replacement and could have gotten an aftermarket for $90. I want to make sure it fits OK.

You’ll have to look that up, guy. Point is parts aren’t generally any more money for German cars.

I'd say some parts. German repairs can be outrageous cost wise.

I'm not going after the Cayenne in particular. Just German cars in general.
