As many of you know, I am Mexican. Technically 45% and some Italian Roman blood, also some Peruvian Inca blood…anyway, the point is we like Mexico City D.F. style Al Pastor tacos. We have been on a quest to find authentic D.F. style. Lots of places have al pastor but not with the trompo and the right seasoning color. Found this place in Little Village near my parents in Chicago. Kind of a dive and kind of an Asian restaurant??!! What did I say?? Asian restaurant, yup. I don’t know how or why but you can also get Chinese food here. You can get individual tacos but we got a pound and made our own tacos.

Came to find out our family friend still owns the building where this is located. Found out the owners are a married couple. The wife is Asian and the husband is from Mexico City DF. Best of both world’s cuisine.
