It was about as stock a motor as the one in the GTR. They probably both have the stock displacement.

That is why I'm not as impressed. With a built motor and a shit ton of boost, anything should be able to run 8's...especially when the base price of the car is $70k.

I was thinking about this. 10 years ago I don't think any import had gone 8's yet, and those were gutted to shit racecars. These are full weight pigs. I may be wrong on the 10 years, but if so they had just gotten there. Power and speed of cars has come a long way. Look at the shit running at drag week. They're putting down serious #'s that weren't capable of track only cars not that long ago.

I think seeing all this makes people jaded and think that it's easy and anyone can do it.
