Many people don't realize that GM started the ZR1 Corvette in 1970 with the C3. This is because they only made a total of 53 C3's from 1970-72 and only 26 are still known to exist. Recently, we had the opportunity to bring along one of my dads super rare C3 ZR1 Corvettes to an epic photoshoot bringing together a C3 ZR1, C4 ZR-1, C6 ZR1, and a C7 ZR1 for possibly the first time ever. We worked with photographer Tim Broschinsky at a private airport in Huntley for some killer shots. Enjoy these pics and check out my full feature for all of the details about the ZR1's feature:

What upgrades or options did the C3 ZR1 consist of?
Simply amazing. I'm a sucker for C4 ZR-1's!

The full details are in the article, but the C3 ZR1 did not include any engine upgrades. It was a standard LT1 Engine, but included a lightweight flywheel, dual disc clutch, HD Trans, upgraded suspension, etc. It also had a radio delete, no AC, and no power steering.
