💸 For Sale 2009 Buick LaCrosse - $1,500

Selling my 2009 Buick LaCrosse. Bulletproof 3800 Series 2 3.8L V6 engine. Auto trans. 215,000 miles.

Bought this fall as a winter car. It’s far from perfect but a great, comfortable loaded up daily driver. Heated leather, dual zone climate control, steering wheel controls, etc. Feels like driving your living room sofa.

Newer brakes, newer battery. 5,000 miles on four new Goodyear all season tires.

Car has some rust showing. CEL is on for an emissions code, I never addressed it as I do not have emissions testing where I live. Car still starts right up, drives great and gets 25+ MPG. As mentioned in a thread on here the torque converter will randomly unlock in OD and then re-lock. Turbocharged400sbc posted a potential fix I never got around to doing.


Passing this one along for what I’m into it. $1,500 FIRM. Located in Harvard, IL 60033. Clean and clear Illinois title in hand.

I should also note this is the quietest, smoothest running 3800 I’ve heard in a long time. I’m the second owner. Was consigned to one of my auctions by an elderly couple that was getting down to one car. I’ve put about 2,000 miles on it since January.

Interior is very nice. Door panel has some scuffs probably from an older person swinging their leg in and out haphazardly but it’s gorgeous for what it is.

How often does the torque convertor unlock/lock? What is the remedy for that?

Torque converters lock to increase fuel economy. When they are locked, they are 1:1. When they are unlocked they slip a bit.
